Broken Reel Extreme Makeover Program

Commonly we find broken or damaged reels with cable in the inventories of our utility customers. Whether the damage was caused by shipping or handling, or by wood decay in an outside lot, the cable would still be salvageable and suitable for use, if it could properly be reconditioned.

AWG will pick up broken or damaged reels. With our equipment, we remove the conductor from the damaged reel and inspect the cable. Upon inspection, we can remove damaged sections, and transfer good conductor onto replacement reels.

This service eliminates the need to scrap good product, which can be used in the future, because of damaged packaging. Therefore, the Extreme Makeover program reduces the likelihood and unexpected cost of reorders, and reconditions good product that would have otherwise gone to waste.

Empty Wooden Reels Recycled Program

At the end of a project on the jobsite or near the end of an inventory usage cycle, our customers find an accumulation of empty wooden reels, with no value or use any longer. So the practice is to hire a tradesman to disassemble the reels, remove the cross bars, separate the reel, then break it down. Finally, the reel needs to be scrapped, and the waste company needs to come and pick up all this waste.

Instead of all that excess cost, let AWG will pick up your empty reels for free.

This program eliminates the need for the responsibility of the empty reels, for the cost and time of the labor, and for the scheduling, cost and collection of the waste. We bring the reels into our warehouse, recondition as needed, and use them again in the future.
