Michael Dorfman is Chief Executive Officer of American Wire Group (AWG), where he leads the company’s continued growth and strategic evolution across the renewable energy, power utility, data center, and industrial markets. His focus includes expanding AWG’s portfolio of products and services, strengthening its global capabilities, and developing solutions around the evolving needs of its customers.
A second-generation owner of AWG, Michael brings more than 20 years of experience across the business. His work with domestic and international customers, combined with extensive experience in global supply chain strategy and distribution, has given him a broad understanding of the operational and commercial requirements behind complex energy and infrastructure projects.
As CEO, Michael is focused on positioning AWG for long term growth through innovation, strategic expansion, and continued investment in the company’s capabilities. His leadership has helped AWG evolve beyond its traditional wire and cable foundation while maintaining a strong focus on customer service, reliability, and the relationships that have shaped the company’s growth.
